In honor of our Class and our 50th Reunion, a few Classmates have established and begun funding The Class of 1971 Endowed Scholarship. This Scholarship will benefit future Colgate students and provide them with many of the same great opportunities that we enjoyed as a result of attending Colgate.
Many of the members of our Class have historically made financial gifts to the University and, in some cases, have designated those gifts for a special purpose. Classmates who wish to continue to support those special purposes should feel free to continue to do so. The same is true for those Classmates who have traditionally made gifts to the Colgate Fund (formerly the “Annual Fund”). At the same time, however, The Class of 1971 Endowed Scholarship will now serve as another way in which we can all contribute to Colgate. As our Reunion approaches and you consider your desire and capability to make gifts to the University, please give consideration to The Class of 1971 Endowed Scholarship.
Legal Notice: Funds contributed to The Class of 1971 Endowed Scholarship will be used for the purposes described above. Pursuant to New York law, the University will expend so much of the Fund each year as it deems prudent in accordance with Section 553(A) of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.
